Time for more NASA news!
NASA are currently celebrating the 40th anniversary of Pioneer 11, the second probe to visit Jupiter (the first being Pioneer 10) which gave way to the Voyager program, that is still going today.
Some research was done at NASA (ba-dum tish), and it turns out that the Jovian moon Europa has got… Wait for it… HYDROGEN PEROXYDE! (Bum bum BUUUUUM!)… Atempt no landings here (geddit?).
It’s Earth Month at NASA! They have done a month-long project that has studied the Americas… Nothing TOO new there…
Curiosity’s Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM) has done some drilling and has done the most precise measurements of argon ever made on Mars. It also turns out that Mars has a bit of a lighter atmosphere than previously known.
The first ever Antares rocket made by Orbital Sciences Corp. has been rolled out to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport. The test flight of the rocket will commence on April 17th. For more, check this out : http://www.nasa.gov/exploration/commercial/cargo/orbitalsciences-index.html

I’ve also discovered that the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) are planning on sending another satellite to Venus! (‘Cos they didn’t have enough fun wasting their time building things, sending them to Venus knowing they were going to blow up due to heat in “ze glorhius aje ov ze Soviet Iuniun!”). This satellite is called “Venera-D” and will give way to a landing… I think in 2020 oraomething like that.

Wir sehen uns alle morgen!
Do you know what a rage quit is? I know what a rage quit is, but we’re not here to talk about that.
Yesterday evening, I bought Super Hexagon for my iPad. Some of you may not know this, but Super Hexagon is probably one of the hardest games out there. It has six levels that are rated by difficulty as : Hard, harder, hardest, harderest, something else and hardestestest. Summed up, no easy. It’s been around 5 playing hours and I’ve managed to get past level one. Yay. This game is VERY and I mean VERY addictive. If you are one of those people who like rage quits and big victories and you are willing to spend £2 (3$), then I suggest you give Super Hexagon a shot.

Guten Tag,
Now that’s lovely, innit?

This is a short update, though.
The three astronauts on the Soyuz TMA-08M have reached the International Space Station in just under six hours and four orbits. I think that’s the fastest time they’ve ever managed!
Apart from that, the Herschel space observatory has taken some images of a big star cloud known as ‘W3’. So we now know how big ol’ stars are made! Herschel FTW!!!
That’s preety much it.

Guten Tag,
I’ve been clever enough to start a new series! It will be just like my good old “Tube updates” series, that sadly ended on an abrupt note. It will come up every time something interesting happens at NASA. So!
The next trio that will launch to the International Space Station will be launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome at 4:43 pm. EDT. The crew is : Chris Cassidy (NASA), Pavel Vinogradov and Alexander Misurkin (Roscosmos).
The Curiosity martian rover has encountered a computer glitch that made the flight controllers use the redundant main computer, however it has recovered from this and is now continuing on with it’s science experiments.
The second “Dragon” capsule launched by SpaceX (a private space company) has returned from the International Space Station. It returned a bunch of sciency stuff (and garbage that was taking up space) from the ISS, that include a way (maybe) that could enhance crop production… Congress…Plz put moar funding intzo da spayce prograym!
The “Cassini” spacecraft (currently orbiting Saturn) has taken a pretty nice image with three of Saturn’s moons. Check it out here : http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/cassini/multimedia/pia12771.html.
And also some not-so important news: NASA have launched (yet another) satellite that is currently in Earth Orbit. ‘Nuff said.

Thank you for checking this thing out, many more will follow!

Yay!!!

…About a week or so ago, yes I know, I’m very slow when it comes to news…

Still, can’t really say much, I fell asleep at half-time, all I can say is the first half wasn’t good, neither was it infernally catastrophic. I felt like I was going to kill Steaua…

Yay!

Chelsea are useless

Chelsea were useless on Thursday night. Full stop.

Torres had quite a few opportunities to score a goal, but for some reason he kicked the ball right out o’ the stadium. Nnnnnnnnice. Indeed.

Benayoum (probably the worst player), by coincidence, had a REALLY, I mean REALLY good chance to score a goal, but he shot it in the wrong direction. Ya-yea.

Steaua was bad, too, BUT AT LEAST THEY SCORED A GODDAMN GOAL. I think that when they scored that goal they gave the biggest “FUS RO DAH” to Chelsea ever. Ay-caramba, what else can I say.

Now onto other stuff, because I haven’t been sticking to my schedule, I’ll put up more than just the Arriva Trains Wales map tomorrow.

I have decided that today, I shall put up my South West Trains maps! The logo is not that good, I know, but anyway, here you go (station names not included and they might not be in the right order, but I’m sure you can sort that out.)

I want to draw every bit of National Rail, operator by operator. I started with South West Trains, because my uncle works for them, and I have an ambition of following in his footsteps, and becoming a driver on SWT. After that, I started in alphabetical order, which means I started with Arriva Trains Wales. So far, I’ve reached First Hull Trains, which I will do sometime. So, I couldn’t squash everything on one page, I did the maps spread out on different pages (apart from one or two exceptions). I’ll post all four pages of the SWT map tomorrow (hopefully, you know what I’m like).

As for the story, that’s postponed. Again. Sorry…. Again.

I haven’t done a post for months! Why am I putting exclamation marks for no reason!

Anyway, I am dreadfully sorry that I haven’t been updating this thing. I have reasons:

1. I didn’t do anything for the summer because I was taking a break.

2. I am now in 4th grade (I live in Romania), so I need to do lots of tests and stuff so I can get to 5TH grade (which means the beginning of middle school here).

Happy? Oh, anyway.

I am now working on a project known as : “Map-It”. I won’t say anything about it until I do a bit of it.

By the way, about that “story”… I will post the introduction in my next post. (hopefully tomorrow).

Guten Tag!

Chelsea FC Wins UEFA Champions League

Last night (more or less 1 a.m.), the final match of UEFA Champions League was held in Munich between Bayern Munich (who have won the cup four times before) and Chelsea. At the end of the first half the score was 0-0.

At the end of the second half, the score was 1-1. Due to this, 30 minutes were added.

At the end of extra time, the score was 1-1, so each team took five penalties.

At the end of the penalties, Bayern got three goals, and Chelsea four, and so Chelsea won UEFA Champions League this year (even without Terry and Jovanovich).

                                    LONG LIVE CHELSEA!!!

On the 15th, the Mr. Machines performed their 1986 album “Electric Cafe”, nowadays known as “Techno Pop”. I did find SOME links, and it was a bit hard, as the search engine hates me. (Example: It shows me the EXACT same video for about 10 pages.)

For “Boing Boom Tschak” visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o1xKYMoy2s&feature=channel&list=UL.

For “The Telephone Call” and “House Phone” check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqBUcfXkDrw&feature=related.

Well, that’s all I found.

Also, a couple of days ago, the leader, Ralf Hutter, announced that their new album, will be released this year, and that they will then tour.

I found both audio and video recordings :

http://soundcloud.com/ryanjonik/kraftwerk-new-york-moma-computer-world for a 20-minute rip of the “Computer World” show, including the intro, “Meine Damen und Herren” (Ladies and gentlemen), “Numbers”, “Computer World”, “Pocket Calculator” (and its German version “Taschenrechner”), “Computer Love” and 5 seconds of “Home Computer”/”It’s More Fun To Compute”.

I sadly did not find any video recordings.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbcTsZx2mmI&feature=channel&list=UL for “Spacelab”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsV-nBvrSpE&feature=related for “The Model”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUYkCtQU7Sc&feature=channel&list=UL for “The Robots”

And I found this audio excerpt: http://soundcloud.com/ryanjonik/kraftwerk-new-york-moma-man-machine including the intro, “Meine Damen und Herren”, “The Man-Machine”, “Spacelab” and “Metropolis”
